West L.A. Music arranged to have guitar autographed backstage by Willie Nelson
LOS ANGELES, CA –2007 – West L.A. Music Donates an Alvarez acoustic guitar autographed by the legendary Willie Nelson to the Indio Youth Task Force. Jackson autographed the guitar at Stagecoach – California’s Country Music Festival. All together the event raised over $80,000 for the charity.
Popular American icon, Willie Nelson performed at the star studded Stagecoach Country Music Festival this past May. Nelson’s career spans over thirty years and has produced over twenty number one hits and multiple Grammy’s. In a business built on changes in cultural fashion, Willie Nelson seems ever the same, as he was when he gained national fame in the mid 1970’s.
California’s Stagecoach country music festival was held recently at the beautiful Empire Polo Field. Stagecoach is a two-day music festival featuring over thirty of country music’s best performing artists. This year’s festival featured performances by George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris and many more.
The Indio Youth Task Force was established in October of 1994 for the distinct purpose of connecting families and components of the community together in order to provide a positive direction for youth. The Indio Youth Task Force, fostered and over seen by the police department, organizes, plans, and implements youth events. Its mission is to cultivate extensive networking with several county agencies, youth organizations and service providers for the purpose of juvenile intervention and education. Additionally, the Indio Youth Task Force has sponsored conflict resolution education and motivational education to further develop the mental well being of youth.
