West L.A. Music's Don Griffin with William Shatner

LOS ANGELES, CA —April 2007 - West L.A. Music Donates Autographed Guitars to William Shatner’s 17th Annual Hollywood Charity Horse Show. West L.A. Music recently donated two guitars autographed by country music’s top artists, to William Shatner’s 17th Annual Hollywood Charity Horse Show. An Epiphone PR 150 Acoustic Guitar, was signed by 12 artists including Keith Urban, Kix Brooks (Brooks & Dunn), Reba McEntire, Jennifer Nettles and Kristen Hall (Sugarland), Cowboy Troy (Big & Rich), and Jay DeMarcus, and Gary LeVox (Rascal Flatts). The second guitar was a Fender Squire Strat, which was signed by Grand Ole Opry favorites – Riders in the Sky. Both guitars were auctioned at the event to support the charity.

William Shatner’s Hollywood Charity Horse Show began in 1990 after Shatner was deeply moved by an exhibition featuring severely handicapped children going though intricate exercises on a horse. The event was sponsored by Ahead with Horses, a therapeutic riding group for handicapped children; that provides developmental therapy services to maximize the potential of disabled, disadvantaged, special-needs children.

Today, the Hollywood Charity Horse Show is an annual event. Taking place in early Spring, the event features world-class reigning horses and riders, both professional and amateur in breathtaking slides and spins as they compete for top honors in their respective classes.
