West L.A. Music donates guitar autographed by Pat Green West L.A. Music and Alvarez Guitars recently donated a guitar autographed by country music star Pat Green. The guitar, an Alvarez, was autographed by Green at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival, and auctioned off during the event, along with several other guitars, raising over $80,000 to benefit the Indio Youth Task Force. Country music artist, Pat Green’s first major album, “ Three Days” was released in 2001. Since then the three- time Grammy nominee has released three more albums including “ Cannonball” in 2006 featuring the duet “Finders Keepers” with Sara Evans. Green’s most recent release of the hit “ Wave on Wave” has made him a popular country music favorite. The Stagecoach Country Music Festival, held at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California, featured two jam packed days of music on four stages, with 55,000 fans attending. Over fifty artists and bands performed at the star-studded event including George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris and Kris Kristofferson. The Indio Youth Task Force, established in October of 1994 for the purpose of connecting families and components of the community together in order to provide a positive direction for youth. The Indio Youth Task Force, which is over seen by the police department organizes, plans, and implements youth events. Its mission is to foster extensive networking with several county agencies, youth organizations and service providers for the purpose of juvenile intervention and education. Additionally, the Indio Youth Task Force has sponsored conflict resolution education and motivational education to further develop the mental well being of youth.
